Biden’s Approval Rating Sits At 60% After 100 Days In Office

President’s Joe Biden‘s honeymoon period has officially ended, but his wide support from Americans has not waned. Following several popular policy decisions like the American Rescue Plan and raising federal contractor minimum wage to $15, a new poll shows Biden with a 60% approval rating, according to Hill-HarrisX.

The survey was among 2,819 registered voters and sampled between April 26 and April 28. The poll also found that 59% of people support Biden’s handling of the U.S. economy, 57% approve his efforts to stimulate job growth, 57% support his efforts to fight terrorism, and 67% approve of the president’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last week, Biden announced that more than half of all American adults have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and that more than 80% of adults 65 and older are partially or fully vaccinated.

Alongside the announcement, Biden also unveiled a new tax credit system allowing small businesses with less than 500 employees to give paid time off to workers for getting vaccinated. Participating businesses can receive a credit of up to $511 per day of sick leave for when employees are vaccinated or are recovering from side effects. The system will be in place until September 30.
