Biden Leads Democratic Field In 2 New Polls With Warren & Sanders Tied For 2nd

Former Vice President Joe Biden is back on top after two polls show him more than a dozen points ahead of his top rivals. Earlier this week, one survey scared Biden and his team after it showed him tied with Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vermont) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts).

According to a Suffolk University/USA Today poll, 32 percent pick Biden over his rivals to challenge President Donald Trump in 2020.

In a new Quinnipiac University poll, Biden held the top spot at 32 percent.

Warren had 14 and 19 percent, followed by Sanders in third with 12 and 15 percent. Sen. Kamala Harris (D-California) ranked fourth with 6 and 7 percent.

Both polls confirmed that Biden is the strong leader among the Democrats.

The earlier poll, which was conducted by Monmouth University, surveyed a small sample size, showed Sanders and Warren with 20 percent and Biden with 19.

The Director of the Monmouth University poll Patrick Murray said, “it is clear that the Monmouth University Poll published Monday is an outlier,” in comparison to other polls.

The Monmouth poll was conducted August 16-20 and surveyed 298 people, with a margin of error of 5.7 points.

The Suffolk/USA Today was conducted from August 20-25, surveying 1000 people, with a margin error of 4.76%.

The Quinnipiac poll was conducted from August 21-26, it surveyed 1,442 voters with a margin error of 4.6%.

Both The Suffolk/USA Today and Quinnipiac University surveyed both parties. The Monmouth only surveyed Democrats or those who planned to vote Democrat.
