70% Of Americans Approve Of Biden’s COVID-19 Response

President Joe Biden‘s job performance and COVID-19 response has been widely praised for its transparency and quick response. A recent poll of 1,434 Americans confirms that 70% of adults and 97% of Democrats approve of Biden’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to The Associated Press-NORC.

The AP also finds 60% of those surveyed generally approve Biden’s job performance. While only 22% of Republicans surveyed approve, 94% of Democrats approve of the president’s performance.

Unlike former President Donald Trump, who did not support mask wearing or social distancing by not upholding the standards himself, Biden has been consistent on the importance of wearing a mask and equally vowed to boost vaccine production. The president’s promise became reality when he assured the United States would have enough vaccine supply to immunize every adult by May, months earlier than prior estimates.

Biden’s widely popular American Rescue Plan for COVID-19 relief also contributes to his impressive approval rating. The $1.9 trillion package set to give Americans landmark relief after being passed in the Senate this weekend.
