In a poll released on Thursday, President Donald Trump’s disapproval rating sat at a dismal 62%
According to a poll released by the Associated Press–NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, 36% of Americans approved of the president’s performance but his disapproval was almost doubled that.
Trump’s approval rates are much lower than that of his predecessor President Barack Obama. Trump’s ratings have remained somewhat steady, however. Throughout his first term he has been steadily in the range of 32 to 42.
Although there are fears of a recession, 46% of Amercians approve of his economic performance.

The breakdown of his economic approval is very one sided. Of the 46%, 16% were Democrats approved and 84% were Republicans. Just 5% of Democrats approved of his performance.
Other specific policies, his numbers were also very low. 36% supported his foreign policy and gun policy, 38% approved of his stance on immigration and 37% approved of his health care policy.
