2018 Generic Congressional Ballot: Democrats Lead Republicans By 13 Points In New Poll

In the last major poll before Tuesday’s midterms, Democrats lead Republicans by a whopping 13 points in the generic congressional ballot in a new poll from CNN. That margin is considerably larger than other polls have found. Most analyst believe that Democrats need to win the popular by at least 7 percent in order win back the House of Representatives because of partisan gerrymandering. Retaking the Senate remains a stretch for Democrats since most of the seats they defending are in states that Donald Trump won handily in 2016.
