Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif), Joe Biden's running mate, was mocked by Vice President Mike Pence's campaign team on Monday for requesting extra COVID-19 prevention precautions. "If Sen. Harris wants to use a fortress around herself, have at it," said Pence's press secretary Katie Miller. Miller tested positive for COVID-19 in May. "The head of the WH Task Force on COVID should be busy getting plexiglass into countless workplaces and shops to keep workers and shoppers safe," Ronald Klain, spokesperson for the Biden team, replied via Twitter, adding that the White House shouldn't be "belittling" the use of plexiglass as a precaution. It was reported that the Harris campaign asked for the plexiglass barriers following the outbreak of COVID in the White House last week, after President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania tested positive Friday. The vice-presidential candidates will remain 7-13 feet apart during their debate at the University of Utah next week. https://twitter.com/RonaldKlain/status/1313219504034455558?s=20
