President Donald Trump declared at a press briefing on the White House lawn this week that the American economy is going to make a “tremendous” and “fast” comeback. “We built the greatest economy the world has ever seen,” Trump assured reporters. “And we’re going to do it again.” His statement comes as states begin easing restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic.
Trump commented on the importance of help from companies and citizens in rebuilding the economy. “So people have stepped up to the plate. I think we’re going to have a really good, I think it’s going to start building. I think it’s going to build fast. I think it will be a tremendous, tremendous comeback. And you know, so I say, I built the greatest economy with all of the people that helped me and all of the people in this country.”
