In New York City on Sunday, Jewish supporters of President Donald Trump got into physical fights during their rally, as they clashed violently with anti-Trump protestors. Eleven protestors were arrested by the police, but all but one have since been released from custody.
Rudy Giuliani, the president’s lawyer and former mayor of New York City, was attending the event to tape his radio show. Protestors could be seen screaming at Giuliani through the open window of his vehicle, as the protestors mainly targeted the caravan of cars that had gathered together in support of the rally.
“I would love to have had a campaign commercial of it and put it on in the middle of America and say, ‘Who would you prefer for the next four years?'” said Giuliani in an interview. “This group of foul-mouthed people who don’t seem to have a vocabulary beyond three words, or these very nice Jewish people who are driving in the car and not saying anything back and not doing anything other than exercising their right to say they’re for Donald Trump.”
Police stated that the Trump-supporting caravan was driving through Times Square when they clashed with the anti-Trump protest from Brooklyn. The two sides called each other a number of names, including “fascists” and “anarchists,” and continued to fight until police split them up. Trump cars were egged by protestors, and many yelled at Trump supporters that “New York hates” them.
