WATCH: Hilary Clinton Slams Trump In DNC Speech: ‘Sadly, He Is Who He Is’

Former 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hilary Clinton spoke at the third virtual night of the  Democratic National Convention on Wednesday, joining other Democrats in slamming President Donald Trump and endorsing Joe Biden.

Clinton criticized her rival in the 2016 presidential elections. “I wish Donald Trump had been a better president. But, sadly, he is who he is,” Clinton said. “America needs a president who shows the same compassion, determination and leadership in the White House that we see in our communities.”

Clinton addressed people who did not vote for her in 2016, as well as those who did not show up on the election day, warning Americans of what is at stake.

“For four years, people have said to me, ‘I didn’t realize how dangerous he was.’ ‘I wish I could go back and do it over.’ Or worst, ‘I should have voted.’ Well, this can’t be another woulda coulda shoulda election,” Clinton said. “Remember in 2016 when Trump asked: ‘What do you have to lose?’ Well, now we know: our health, our jobs, even our lives. Our leadership in the world and, yes, even our post office.”

She urged Americans to vote in “overwhelming numbers,” making the case for Biden and running mate Kamala Harris.

“Don’t forget: Joe and Kamala can win by three million votes and still lose. Take it from me,” Clinton said. “We need numbers overwhelming, so Trump can’t sneak or steal his way to victory.”

Clinton endorsed Biden as the president who “knows how to heal, unify and lead, because he’s done all of that for his family and his country.”

Clinton also praised Harris, Biden’s chosen running mate, as “relentless in the pursuit of justice and equity” and empathized with the sexism she has been facing as the female candidate in the major party.

Trump, since Harris was chosen as Biden’s running mate, has repeatedly called her “nasty” and “mean.”

“I know something about the slings and arrows she’ll face, and believe me, this former district attorney and attorney general can handle them all,” Clinton said.
