WATCH: Fox News Host Chris Wallace Hammers Lara Trump – ‘Did You Think’ Mask Rules ‘Didn’t Apply To You?”

Lara Trump, President Donald Trumps daughter in law, was grilled by Fox News anchor Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday for not wearing masks at the presidential debate.

“Did you think, Lara, that the rules that applied to everybody else in that hall didn’t apply to you?” Wallace, 72, asked senior Trump campaign adviser, Lara, 38, during an interview.

Lara, the wife of the president’s son Eric Trump, told Wallace “of course we did not think that.” She added that “we felt like we were being safe” because we wore masks while entering and then took them off while sitting down.

Lara claimed that all debate entrants had been tested and “tested negative for COVID.” She then reiterated that the Trump family walked in with masks on and then took them off once at their “socially distant” seats.

The senior Trump campaign adviser hot back at Wallace. “And I have heard you say this many times I want to be very clear never one time did anyone from Cleveland Clinic come up and ask any member of our family to put a mask on so that is totally false,” Lara continued. “I know that notion has been out there that is not true. We were respectful to people around us… We did not move from those seats until the very end.”

She added, “Those are the same guidelines applied to restaurants. Those are the same guidelines applied to many outlets across America and the fact that we had tested negative Chris, I mean you know look we followed the rules as we thought that they were given to us. Well I do not want to belabor this, I’m going to move on. But everyone in that hall had tested negative.”
