King Abdullah II of Jordan said his country would take in 2,000 sick children from Gaza during talks with President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday. Trump called the offer a “beautiful gesture” and also spoke about his proposal to move Palestinians out of Gaza and take control of the land. “It’s not a complex thing to do. And with the United States being in control of that piece of land, a fairly large piece of land, you’re going to have stability in the Middle East for the first time,” Trump said. Trump has repeatedly pressured Jordan and Eygpt to take the 2.1 million people currently living in Gaza, which both countries have flatly rejected. (Credit: Margo Martin via Storyful)
