President-elect Donald Trump was named Time Person of the Year on Thursday, Dec. 12, and was on hand to ring the opening bell of at New York Stock Exchange that same morning.
This is Trump’s second time receiving this title from Time magazine.
Footage from Trump’s deputy director of communications, Margo Martin, shows the president-elect speaking at the stock exchange.
“I think I like it better this time,” Trump said, referred to the Time distinction.
Footage also shows chants of “USA! USA!” on the trading room floor.
Time magazine said that it was not a difficult decision to name Trump Person of the Year.
“Since he began running for President in 2015, perhaps no single individual has played a larger role in changing the course of politics and history than Trump,” the announcement read.
