Footage streamed live by C-SPAN captured the moment at the Dirksen Senate Office Building on Tuesday.

“You are a misogynist,” the protester is heard shouting before he is taken away by Capitol Police.

Hegseth was the first of Trump’s nominees to face the Senate. Hearings would continue through the week, according to the Senate’s public schedule.
