A French politician dubbed President Donald Trump an “incendiary emperor” and called Elon Musk his “jester on ketamine” during a debate on the situation in Ukraine held in the Senate in Paris on March 4. Addressing his peers, the leader of Les Independants, French Senator Claude Malhuret, said that Europe was “hitting a critical point in history.” “The American shield is failing. Ukraine is at risk of being forsaken, and Russia strengthened,” Malhuret said. “Washington has become Nero’s court. An incendiary emperor, obedient courtiers, and a jester on ketamine tasked with the purification of the public function. It is a tragedy for the free world but above all for the U.S. Trump’s message is that there is no point in being his ally for he will not defend you.
