Harrison Floyd and Trevian Kutti, the black co-defendants involved in former President Donald Trump‘s trial for election-related conspiracy in Fulton County, Georgia, have been alleging on social media that they are being targeted because they are black conservatives.
Floyd, who previously led a group called Black Voices for Trump, and Kutti, a former publicist for rapper Kanye West and singer R. Kelly, have been accused of attempting to intimidate Atlanta election worker Ruby Freeman into falsely confessing that she cheated Trump out of a victory in the 2020 Georgia election.
Both individuals have denied the charges and pleaded not guilty.
Floyd’s social media posts alleging racism were revealed when Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis filed a request to cancel his release on bail due to accusations of intimidating witnesses. The request points out that Floyd targeted multiple potential witnesses in the trial, such as Freeman, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R), elections official Gabriel Sterling and former Trump campaign lawyer Jenna Ellis.

Floyd’s counsel argued that Willis’ motion indicated her intention to target Floyd due to his status as a black conservative.
In response to the motion, Floyd referenced a statement made by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas during his confirmation hearing in 1991, suggesting that he too is subjected to a form of unjust persecution referred to as a “high-tech lynching.”
Kutti has embraced her own wild defense. Recently, she expressed her eagerness to “help empower black women in politics by becoming Press Secretary to the 47th President of the United States @realDonaldTrump.”
