Trump Will Return To Social Media With His ‘Own Platform,’ Adviser Says

Senior Adviser to former President Donald Trump, Jason Miller, said on Sunday that Trump plans to return to social media in the near future on his “own platform.”

Miller said Sunday that Trump will be “returning to social media in two or three months.” The Trump advisor also boasted that the unnamed, and unseen platform would “completely redefine the game” and rake in “tens of millions” of new users.

Trump was banned from his most-visible platform, Twitter, for “incitement of violence” in the hours after the January 6 Capitol insurrection. Trump’s leaning into a new platform may be the only way for him to return to social media, as Twitter executives are not open to letting him back on the platform.

In February Twitter’s chief financial officer, Ned Segal, revealed that Trump’s ban will continue even if he plans to run again in the future. “The way our policies work, when you’re removed from the platform, you’re removed from the platform whether you’re a commentator, you’re a CFO or you are a former or current public official,” Segal said in February.
