Trump White House Attorney Warned John Eastman To Get A ‘Great F–ing Defense Lawyer’

The House select committee investigating last year’s January 6 Capitol attack released a video outlining Thursday’s upcoming hearings.

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyoming) announced the committee will lay out what they found regarding former President Donald Trump‘s effort on January 6 and in the days leading up to it to pressure then-Vice President Mike Pence to block the certification of President Joe Biden.

She then released a video clip from the committee’s interview with Trump White House attorney Eric Herschmann on a conversation he had with Trump lawyer John Eastman, who was the mastermind behind the plan to overturn the election.

“He [Eastman] started to ask me about something dealing with Georgia and preserving something, potentially, for appeal,” Herschmann said in the video. “And I said to him, ‘Are you out of your effing mind? Because I only want to hear two words coming out of your mouth for now on: ‘orderly transition.’ I said ‘I don’t want to hear any other effing words coming out of your mouth no matter what, other than ‘orderly transition.’ Repeat those words to me.”

“Eventually he said ‘orderly transition.’ I said, ‘Good John. Now I’m gonna give you the best free legal advice you’re ever getting in your life. Get a great effing criminal defense lawyer. You’re gonna need it.’ And I hung up on him.”

The next hearing is scheduled for Thursday after being pushed back a day due to “technical difficulties” and wanting to give viewers “the time and space to digest” what they had seen and heard in the first two hearings.
