Trump Wants Next G7 Summit To Be Held At His Doral Hotel In Miami

President Donald Trump said Monday that the next G7 summit will take place in Miami, Florida and that his Doral resort there is a top choice.

He told reporters that his Miami hotel is a good place for it because of its location in relation to the airport.

Telling reporters that the other leaders “love the location of the hotel,” because “ you can be there in a matter of minutes after you land.”

Trump also stated that Russia’s Vladimir Putin should have attended because the leaders often discuss Russia.

In 2014, Russia was expelled from the meeting because of its support of pro-Russian separatists in the Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea. German Chancellor Angela Merkel told reporters that in order for Russia to be readmitted they would have to end any ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

Trump arrived at the summit in Biarritz, France and attended meetings regarding economic problems, Global-security issues and others, but he did not attended the meeting on climate change.
