Former President Donald Trump repeated on Saturday threats to sue the Pulitzer Board over the awards granted to The New York Times and The Washington Post for reporting on Russian interference in the 2016 election.
“Within the next two weeks, we’re suing the Pulitzer organization to have those prizes taken back,” Trump said at a rally in Robstown, Texas, where he was campaigning for Republicans candidates in the state.
Trump has been demanding the Pulitizer Board to rescind the prize since 2019.

In 2018, the organization awarded the Times and the Post for “deeply sourced, relentlessly reported coverage in the public interest” of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
The Pulitzer Board rejected Trump’s request in July, after an independent review.
“The separate reviews converged in their conclusions: that no passages or headlines, contentions or assertions in any of the winning submissions were discredited by facts that emerged subsequent to the conferral of the prizes,” the board said in July.
