Trump Tells Michelle Obama He Wouldn’t Be A President If It Weren’t For Her Husband
President Donald Trump replied Tuesday morning to former First Lady Michelle Obama‘s criticism of his leadership during her Democratic National Convention address. Trump asserted that he would not be in the White House if it weren’t for former President Barack Obama‘s administration.

“Somebody please explain to [Michelle Obama] that Donald J. Trump would not be here, in the beautiful White House, if it weren’t for the job done by your husband, Barack Obama,” Trump tweeted. “Biden was merely an afterthought, a good reason for that very late & unenthusiastic endorsement.”
Hours before Trump’s tweet, Michelle surprised everyone with her opening night speech at DNC, strongly asserting that Trump is the “wrong president” for the United States. The former first lady was known to be very cautious when making any political comments.
“Let me be as honest and clear as I possibly can. Donald Trump is the wrong president for our country,” the former first lady said. “He has had more than enough time to prove that he can do the job, but he is clearly in over his head. He cannot meet this moment. He simply cannot be who we need him to be for us. It is what it is.”
