Former President Donald Trump is working with former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Georgia) on outlining a new policy agenda to prepare the Republican party for the 2022 midterm elections.
The agenda that they are drafting is believed to be something similar to Gingrich’s 1994 Contract with America, an agenda that helped the Republicans to add more than 50 seats during former President Bill Clinton‘s first term.
With his Contract with America, Republicans created their first House majority in nearly four decades.
A Trump spokesperson revealed that they have just begun the conversation and the agenda will not be ready anytime soon.

“Policy talks are still in their infancy and it’s premature to project exactly what this will look like, who all will be participating in the effort and when something may be released,” a Trump spokesperson told Politico.
Gingrich, though, claimed that his agenda will not be ready for debut “anytime soon,” hinted some list of potential priorities.
“School choice, teaching American history for real, abolishing the ‘1619 Project,’ eliminating critical race theory and what the Texas legislature is doing. We should say, ‘Bring it on,’ ” Gingrich said.
