The America First Action super PAC aligned with President Donald said they will be spending $10 million to target former Vice President Joe Biden in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.
According to a news release, the super PAC will spend the money on digital, cable and mail. It will be “the group’s first wave of independent expenditure spending in the 2020 election cycle.” The ads will run through May.
The ads come as the left-leaning super PAC Priorities USA Action Fund is airing attack ads against Trump that use his own statements of the coronavirus against him. His campaign sent a cease-and-desist letter to television stations running the ad in Florida, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania because it “contains the false assertion that President Trump called the coronavirus a ‘hoax,’ when in fact he was referring to Democrat criticisms and politicization of the federal response to the public health crisis.”
