Trump Issues Statement Calling Kentucky Derby Winner Medina Spirit ‘A Junky’

Former President Donald Trump released a statement on his blog Sunday saying that the winner of the Kentucky Derby failing a drug test is a metaphor for “what is happening to our country,” then lamenting national and election security.

“So now even our Kentucky Derby winner, Medina Spirit, is a junky. This is emblematic of what is happening to our Country. The whole world is laughing at us as we go to hell on our Borders, our fake Presidential Election, and everywhere else!” Trump wrote in a statement to his blog Sunday.

The former president has been releasing more public statements since he began his blog last month. Trump established the blog before the decision date from the Facebook Oversight Committee which determined that Trump will remain banned on the platform.

“Our sole job is to hold this extremely powerful organization, Facebook, to be held accountable,” said board co-chair Michael McConnell, then specified that the Trump ban “did not meet these standards.”

Trump denounced the board’s ruling soon after in a sweeping comment slamming Facebook, Twitter and Google. “Free Speech has been taken away from the President of the United States because the Radical Left Lunatics are afraid of the truth,” Trump said in a statement released on his blog.
