Former Gov. Nikki Haley (R-South Carolina) said former President Donald Trump sent her a birdcage after calling her a “birdbrain” in a recent social media post.
“After a day of campaigning, this is the message waiting for me at my hotel room… #PrettyPatheticTryAgain #YouJustMadeMyCaseForMe,” Haley said in a post on X.
Trump wrote on Truth Social on Friday: ’”I will never run against our great President,’ she said, ‘he has done an outstanding job.’ To which I responded, ‘How nice of you to say, Nikki,’ knowing full well that her words mean nothing. She even came to Mar-a-Lago with her family, ‘bearing gifts.’ Anyway, Birdbrain doesn’t have the TALENT or TEMPERAMENT to do the job. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
The feud came after Haley took on her opponents in the second Republican debate stage on Wednesday, she challenged Sen. Tim Scott (R-South Carolina) after he threatened to attack her.

“Bring it, Tim,” said Haley.
Haley held her ground against Vivek Ramaswamy as well.
“Honestly, every time I hear you I feel a little bit dumber,” she said.
Since the first debate, Haley has climbed up the polls.
After Haley’s first debate, according to Saint Anselm poll, she is placed second in New Hampshire and at 15% in comparison to Trump’s 45%, topping DeSantis who had 11%. A Fox Business poll showed last week that Haley’s support has doubled in Iowa, placing her in the top three.
