Former President Donald Trump indicated in a Tuesday night interview that he plans to run again in 2024. Trump’s interview was hosted by his daughter-in-law Lara Trump who asked Trump if he plans to run again in 2024. The former president said, “You do have hope,” in reference to whether or not he would run again.
“We love our country, this country. We all owe a lot to our country. But now we have to help our country,” Trump then immediately followed, unwilling to answer directly whether or not he will run. In contrast, President Joe Biden said Friday with certainty that he will be running again in 2024
Trump then went on to criticize Biden, something he has done consistently during his multiple recent media appearances. “It was so good what we did with Iran, what we did with China,” Trump said. “We were all set to do some great things. And then you see what’s going on right now. China treated our representatives last week … in Alaska with such tremendous disrespect. They never talked to me that way.”
Trump then said he is considering hosting a rally “relatively soon, just to let everybody know that there’s hope in the future,” without any more details. “I love doing them. But more importantly, I think we get the word out.” Trump has had difficulty “getting the word out” since he was permanently banned from Twitter and Facebook after inciting violence during the January 6 Capitol insurrection.

Trump’s interview was quickly taken down from Facebook, as Trump’s voice, like his account, is banned on the platform. “In line with the block we placed on Donald Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, further content posted in the voice of Donald Trump will be removed and result in additional limitations on the accounts,” Facebook wrote in a statement soon after.
