Trump Says He Will Leave Office Peacefully If He Loses November Election, Amid Biden Fears

President Donald Trump told Fox News on Friday that he will peacefully leave office if he loses the election in November.

“Certainly, if I don’t win, I don’t win,” said Trump in a Fox News interview on Friday, adding that it would be “a very bad thing for our country.”

Trump said he will leave the office peacefully in response to Joe Biden‘s recent comments on Thursday. In an interview with The Daily Show, Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, said Trump was likely to “steal the election,” referring to Trump’s recent conspiracy theories about voting by mail.

“This is a guy who said that all mail-in ballots are fraudulent, voting by mail, while he sits behind the desk in the Oval Office and writes his mail-in ballot to vote in a primary,” Biden said.

“I promise you, I’m absolutely convinced, they will escort him from the White House in a dispatch,” he added.

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany condemned Biden’s remarks.

“I think that’s a ridiculous proposition. This president’s looking forward to November,” she said. “This president’s hard at work for the American people, and leave it to Democrats to go out there and grandstand and level these conspiracy theories.”

Biden’s comments come after Trump dismissed CNN national polls as “fake,” showing him behind Biden by 14%. Trump also threatened to sue CNN if they don’t apologize and retract the poll.
