Trump Retweets Tweet Calling For Firing Dr. Anthony Fauci After He Says Faster U.S. Response Could Have Saved Lives

President Donald Trump showed his frustration with Dr. Anthony Fauci, the federal government’s top infectious disease expert, on Sunday after he said more lives could have been saved if the nation shut down earlier due to the coronavirus (COVID-19).

DeAnna Lorraine, a former Republican candidate for Congress, tweeted, “Fauci is now saying that had Trump listened to the medical experts earlier he could’ve saved more lives. While rejecting criticism of the federal government’s slow response to the virus, Trump retweeted her message and said, “Sorry Fake News, it’s all on tape. I banned China long before people spoke up.”
