Former President Donald Trump reportedly has rejected Nikki Haley‘s request for a meeting. Just a few weeks ago, Haley publicly criticized Trump’s role in inciting the Jan 6. Capitol riots. Under the Trump administration, Haley served as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.
In an interview with Politico, Haley said that Trump “won’t be in the picture” for the 2024 presidential race.
Haley also remarked, “We need to acknowledge he let us down. He went down a path he shouldn’t have, and we shouldn’t have followed him, and we shouldn’t have listened to him. And we can’t let that ever happen again.”
