President Donald Trump refused to wear a mask as he toured a mask-making factory in Arizona even after he admitted that more Americans would die of the coronavirus as states reopened.
Trump said in an interview with ABC that there’s a possibility death tolls across the country will rise as social distancing requirements are being lifted in multiple states.
“Because you won’t be locked into an apartment or a house or whatever it is,” Trump said.
“Will some people be affected badly? Yes,” he added. “But we have to get our country open.”

As he praised the workers at the Honeywell factory in Phoenix, he added that he thought it was time to look hopefully into the future. “I want to be a cheerleader,” he said.
Trump also added that he was planning on disbanding the coronavirus task force in early June.
Still, the president did not wear a mask at the Honeywell factory even as signs throughout the facility read, “Please wear your mask at all times.”
“I think wearing a face mask as I greet presidents, prime ministers, dictators, kings, queens, I don’t know,” Trump said in April. “Somehow, I don’t see it for myself.”
