Former President Donald Trump was introduced with a song at a rally in Houston performed by a group of incarcerated men who are facing charges in relation to the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Trump acknowledged the song and referred to the men as “J6 hostages” – instead of as inmates – following a performance of “God Bless the USA” by country singer Lee Greenwood.
A group called the J6 Prison Choir created the song “Justice for All.” It features a variation of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” with intervals of Trump reciting the pledge of allegiance.
When the song became available in March, it briefly topped the iTunes singles chart, which Trump mentioned while in Houston.

The song “Justice for All” was accompanied by a music video that was first performed on Steve Bannon‘s War Room podcast. The video is a combination of footage from Trump’s presidency and the violence that occurred at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
At the conclusion of the video, the phrase “supporting specific prisoners who have been deprived of their constitutional rights” appears on the screen.
Revenue generated from the song has been given to support legal assistance for individuals who were imprisoned as a result of their roles on January 6.
