Trump Rants About Disloyal Republicans While Refusing To Sign COVID Relief Bill

President Donald Trump railed against the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Department of Justice (DOJ) for not pursuing baseless conspiracy theories of voter fraud in the 2020 election on Saturday. The rant came as millions of Americans lost unemployment benefits after Trump refused to sign a bill extending them, as the president lodged a blizzard of complaints about the omnibus fiscal package, federal law enforcement agencies and the Supreme Court.

In a tweet storm starting early Saturday morning, Trump railed against the DOJ and U.S. attorney John Durham for failing to produce a report that exposed wrongdoing in the FBI’s Russia probe.

Trump wrote, “Where the hell is the Durham Report? They spied on my campaign, colluded with Russia (and others), and got caught. Read the Horowitz Reports about Comey & McCabe. Even the Fake News @nytimes said “bad.” They tried it all and failed, so now they are trying to steal the election!”

Trump tweeted that FBI and DOJ  “should be ashamed” for the lack of action against what he deemed “the biggest SCAM” in U.S. history.

The president also salmmed the Supreme Court, calling it “totally incompetent and weak” and again questioning why it wouldn’t hear a suit filed by Texas claiming election fraud, effectively ending legal challenges to the electoral process.

The U.S. Supreme Court has been totally incompetent and weak on the massive Election Fraud that took place in the 2020 Presidential Election. We have absolute PROOF, but they don’t want to see it – No “standing”, they say. If we have corrupt elections, we have no country!

“The “Justice” Department and the FBI have done nothing about the 2020 Presidential Election Voter Fraud, the biggest SCAM in our nation’s history, despite overwhelming evidence. They should be ashamed. History will remember. Never give up. See everyone in D.C. on January 6th,” Trump also wrote.

On January 6, Trump is hoping allies in Congress will stop the count of the Electoral College votes, which were tabulated, signed, sealed and sent by registered mail to Vice President Mike Pence on December 23. As vice president, Pence is also president of the Senate, meaning that he presides over all hearings.

However, Pence’s power comes with limits. He is merely transcribing and announcing the senators and representatives decisions, not reaching conclusions.

Trump would like Pence to decertify the results and refuse to name Joe Biden as president-elect.

In a previous tweet, the president had accused Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Republicans of having “NO FIGHT!”
