Trump Ranked ‘American’s Most Admired Man’ In Gallup Poll, Edging Out Barack Obama For First Time

President Donald Trump won the title of America’s most-admired man for 2020, according to Gallup’s annual survey conducted on December 1-17, ending former President Barack Obama‘s 12-year run with the title.

This year’s results marked the 10th time Trump has finished among the 10 most admired men and the 15th time Obama had.

Eighteen percent of adults in the U.S. named Trump when asked which man “living anywhere in the world they admire most.” Fifteen percent named Obama, President-elect Joe Biden following in third place.

The results of the poll were split along party lines, 48 percent of Republicans choosing Trump and 32 percent of Democrats naming Obama. The two tied in the vote of independents, each earning 11 percent, while Biden earned 3 percent.

Dr. Anthony Fauci placed fourth on the men’s list and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez came in seventh place and Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett in ninth on the women’s list.
