Attendees of President Donald Trump’s reelection rally in Cincinnati on Thursday night started to chant the all-too-familiar call to “lock her up” after the president mentioned his former election rival Hillary Clinton.
The phrase was first used as a rally cry to imprison the former Secretary of State during the 2016 presidential election. Since his win, Trump continues to bring up Clinton at his rallies causing his supporters to chant it once more.
The campaign rally took place Thursday evening 260 miles south of the previous night’s Democratic debate in Detroit. The night was full of attacks on foes like former Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Trump even made an unprovoked attack on homeless people saying that “what they are doing to California is a disgrace to our country.”
