Donald Trump‘s Truth Social account was not filled with merriment on Christmas Day.
“Merry Christmas to EVERYONE,” he wrote on the social website.
He then lists groups of political opponents, including “Radical Left Marxists,” “Lamestream Media,” and “The Department of Injustice” before declaring, “LOVE TO ALL!”
The former president also criticized the current state of the U.S. government, saying his administration was more effective.

“On this very cold but beautiful Christmas Day, look at our Nation NOW on the Southern Border compared to only a short time ago during the Trump Administration,” he said on the platform. “We had the most SECURE Border in our history, versus the “horror show” that that is happening now, with record-setting numbers of people, many of them hardened Criminals (including Killers, Human Traffickers and Drug Dealers), POURING INTO OUR COUNTRY at a rate the likes of which we have never seen before.”
He ended on a less-than-cheery note, saying, “The USA is dying from within!!!”
His posts were juxtaposed by former President Barack Obama, whose Instagram captioned, “One of the best parts of the holiday season is getting to spend time with the special people in our lives. I hope you all have a wonderful and joyful Christmas.”
Trump has been posting about the January 6 commission’s 845-page final report, calling it “SAD!!!”
The commission recently suggested Trump be criminally prosecuted for his involvement in the Capitol riots.
