President Donald Trump was hospitalized on Friday at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for his diagnosis of COVID-19, and returned to the White House Monday night.
During his stay at Walter Reed, photos were taken of him “working.” However, some Twitter wags have noticed that it appeared he was signing a blank piece of paper with a marker.
Ivanka Trump shared one of these images to her Twitter, captioning the photo, “Nothing can stop him form working for the American people. RELENTLESS!”
However, an editor-in-chief of an aviation publication, Jon Ostrower, posted the data from two the images taken of Trump at “work,” and pointed out that they were taken in different rooms, but only ten minutes apart from one another.

“The photos released by the WH tonight of the president working at Walter Reed were taken 10 minutes apart at 5:29:59 pm and 5:35:40 pm ET Saturday, according to the EXIF data embedded in both @AP wire postings that were shared by the White House this evening,” Ostrower tweeted.
His tweet, which caused quite a large reaction on Twitter, pushed many accounts to look deeper into the images, and some pointed out that the paperwork the president was working on seemed to look like a blank sheet of paper, and he appeared to be signing his name in the center of the paper with a Sharpie brand marker.
A White House official stated that Trump had “signed about 10 documents” during his stay at Walter Reed, and “published 2 proclamations.” The defense by Trump’s administration, though, did not seem to silence Twitter users, as the word “staged” was trending on Twitter Sunday morning.
Some chose to criticize Trump, with some saying he could not resist a photo op, but others targeted Ivanka for her praise of her father.
“Oh honey,” author Lynn Comella wrote, “Everyone can tell this is a very sick man propped in. a chair for the purpose of staged White House propaganda. Go hug your kids and get off twitter.”
Since the controversial images were posted, Trump has announced that he is feeling “better than (he) has in 20 years.”
