President Donald Trump mocked New York Mayor Bill de Blasio after he announced his withdrawal from the 2020 presidential election.
He sarcastically tweeted making fun of de Blasio’s polling record.
“Oh no, really big political news, perhaps the biggest story in year!” wrote Trump. “Part time Mayor of New York City, @BilldeBlasio, who was polling at a solid ZERO but had tremendous room for growth, has shocking dropped out of the Presidential race. NYC is devastated, he’s coming home!”
The tweet came minutes after de Blasio’s appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, where he made the announcement.
