Trump Makes False Claims At Georgia Rally: ‘We Won The Presidential Election!’

President Donald Trump took the stage in Georgia on Monday night to speak in support of Sens. David Perdue (R-Georgia) and Kelly Loeffler (R-Georgia) the night before crucial runoff elections in the state.

Republican Georgia voters, however, may walk away from Trump’s speech confused. Just days after Trump tweeted that the Georgia runoff elections were “invalid,” in his Monday speech he said Georgians should still vote in the runoff election because “If the Left wins these Senate seats, they will abolish the Senate.”

The majority of Trump’s stage time, however, was dedicated to continuing his false claims of voter fraud in Georgia. Before even mentioning the senators, Trump said, “There’s no way we lost Georgia. We won the presidential election. We won it big.” Since Georgia was first called for President-elect Joe Biden, the state has performed three separate recounts all of which affirmed Biden as the winner.

Trump oddly complained that the press has “gone silent” in their coverage of him, but then warned that the country is in “the beginning of Communism.”

The president also made time to blast Georgia officials like Gov. Brian Kemp (R-Georgia) who refused to help overturn the presidential election results in the state in the president’s favor. Trump said he would campaign against the governor in the future. Trump also mentioned Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger who made headlines after releasing audio of Trump pressuring him to turn Georgia in his favor by “finding votes.” Both names were met with boos from the audience.
