In a recent interview, presidential nominee Donald Trump raised questions about the Democratic party’s involvement in the events after his July 13t assassination attempt.
In an interview, Monica Crowley, a former Fox News contributor and former official in the Treasury Department during the Trump administration, asked Trump his thoughts on the investigation of the events on July 13.
“The more we see what happened that day, the more suspicious it all looks. It looks like the three letter agencies are slow-walking a lot of this evidence, a lot of the videos, etcetera. Does it look increasingly to you like this was a suspicious, maybe even inside job?” Crowley asked Trump, referring to his assassination attempt.
“Well, it’s strange,” Trump responded, adding, “The father hired the most expensive lawyer,” referring to Mathew Crooks, father of the dead gunman Thomas Mathew Crooks.

Trump raised questions about who is paying for the lawyer, alleging that the lawyer is “top of the line” and costs hundreds of thousands of dollars.
“Is the lawyer doing it for free? I doubt it,” Trump remarked. “Are the Democrats paying for his legal fees?” Trump did not provide any evidence for this claim.
“Maybe they are, maybe they’re not,” he added.
In the same interview, Trump stated that it is “very suspicious” that the FBI was not able to unlock the gunman’s apps on his phone, despite the FBI gaining access to the gunman’s phone fairly quickly after the assassination attempt.
“I wasn’t thinking this way three weeks ago, but the more you see it, the more you start to say there could be something else, and that’s really dangerous for the country,” Trump noted.
Crowley agreed with Trump, stating that the “imperial media” and the “regime” all “buried the story, and they “don’t want anyone talking about it, which lends credence to this idea that this is very suspicious and could have been an inside job.”
“They didn’t want to talk about the election of 2020 either,” Trump added. “It’s amazing, people that want to have a fair election are indicted, the people who cheated on the election are allowed to keep cheating.”
