After Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) announced Tuesday an official impeachment inquiry into president Donald Trump, Twitter quickly turned the news into a trending hashtag.
The hashtag, #ImpeachTheMF exploded on Twitter by Tuesday afternoon.
The tweets under the hashtag’s umbrella varied: there were political opinions, memes and songs all tagged with the hashtag.

Twitter user Lucas Forstie mocked Trump supporters for having less #Trump2020LandslideVictory tweets compared to #ImpeachTheMF.
“Ya’ll want a landslide and can’t even win a hashtag war??” Forstie wrote.
