Trump Goes On Tweetstorm During His COVID-19 Hospitalization
On Monday, President Donald Trump posted a series of tweets to his supporters, encouraging them to vote, from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he has been staying since Friday in order to receive treatment for his recent diagnosis of coronavirus. He has since announced that he will be leaving Walter Reed Monday night, and returning back to the White House, as his doctors cleared for him to do so.
The Twitter thread contained over fifteen tweets, saying that a voting for him would make “NEXT YEAR…THE BEST EVER,” and stating that a vote for the Democratic nominee, Joe Biden, would result in the “BIGGEST” tax increase the country has ever seen.
Biden has said that his plans to raise taxes would only be for the extremely wealthy, specifically, “for anybody making over $400,000” per year. He continued to say he would not raise taxes for the “90 percent of the businesses that are mom and pop businesses that employ less than 50 people.”
Trump’s tweets continued with several other messages, including: “PRO LIFE! VOTE,” “SPACE FORCE. VOTE,” “LAW & ORDER. VOTE,” “STRONGEST EVER MILITARY. VOTE,” “BIGGEST TAX CUT EVER, AND ANOTHER ONE COMING. VOTE,” ‘RELIGIOUS LIBERTY. VOTE,” and “SAVE OUR SECOND AMENDMENT. VOTE!”
