Former President Donald Trump lashed out at Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) for recent comments condemning the Republican National Committee‘s censure of Reps. Liz Cheney (R-Wyoming) and Adam Kinzinger (R-Illinois).
“Mitch McConnell does not speak for the Republican Party and does not represent the views of the vast majority of its voters. He did nothing to fight for his constituents and stop the most fraudulent election in American history,” Trump said in a statement. “If Mitch would have fought for the election, like the Democrats would have if, in the same position, we would not be discussing any of the above today, and our Country would be STRONG and PROUD instead of weak and embarrassed.”
The RNC censured Cheney and Kinzinger for their involvement on the House select committee investigating last year’s Jan. 6 Capitol riot, saying they were “participating in a Democrat-led persecution of ordinary citizens engaged in legitimate political discourse.”
After the censure resolution came out, McConnell condemned the language, confirming that he saw the events of Jan. 6 as a “violent insurrection.”

He also argued that singling out members of their own party was not the job of the RNC.
“Traditionally, the view of the national party committees is that we support all members of our party, regardless of their positions on some issues,” he told reporters. “The issue is whether or not the RNC should be sort of singling out members of our party who may have different views of the majority. That’s not the job of the RNC.”
RNC chairwoman Rona McDaniels later clarified her statements saying that the committee had gone after people who did not play a role in the Jan. 6 attack. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy suggested she meant the subpoenaing of 14 alternate electors who sent in fake Electoral College certificates to the National Archives.

the narcissistic ASSCLOWN is such a bully that he is throwing everyone under the bus for his actions. thinking he has never done anything wrong. this is why the Republicans are running scared right now. the truth is getting ready to come out and they are all trying to stall and run from the truth of their involvement in the insurrection.
