Trump Endorses Nevada GOP Senate Candidate Sam Brown Ahead Of Primary

Former President Donald Trump endorsed Nevada Senate GOP candidate Sam Brown just days before the June 11 primary.

Trump took to Truth Social, his social media platform, to endorse Brown. This is a surprising move as the other candidates closely aligned themselves with Trump, and Brown had not.

During a rally in Nevada on Sunday, Trump called the former Army captain a good man. His endorsement on Truth Social called the candidate fearless.

“Sam Brown is a FEARLESS AMERICAN PATRIOT, a Purple Heart Recipient, who has proven he has the ‘PURE GRIT’ and COURAGE to take on our Enemies, both Foreign and Domestic,” Trump wrote.

A later post further complimented Brown and his family.

“I have gotten to know Sam and his beautiful wife, Amy, a U.S. Army First Lieutenant, and I know in this next chapter of their Life of Service together, they will continue to make us all proud,” Trump wrote. “Sam has already proven his Love for our Country, being horrifically wounded, and making the Comeback of a Lifetime. Sam Brown has my Complete and Total Endorsement – HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!”

The other competitors for the Senate seat include former U.S. Ambassador Jeff Gunter and former state Assemblyman Jimmy Marchant. Gunter was an ambassador during the Trump administration and has shown his loyalty to the former president in the past.

Brown thanked Trump for the endorsement on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Thank you, President Trump, for your leadership. I’m honored to have your endorsement. I look forward to working with you to bring a better future to every Nevadan and American when we both win in November,” Brown wrote.

The polls opened this morning for the Nevada GOP primary, although many voters submitted absentee ballots before Trump endorsed Brown.
