Trump Demands Release Of Name Of Officer Who Shot Ashli Babbitt During Jan. 6 Insurrection

During his Florida rally on Saturday, former President Donald Trump demanded the release of the police officer’s name who shot Ashli Babbitt.

Babbitt was a 35-year-old Trump supporter who was shot and killed inside the Capitol during the Jan. 6 insurrection. The police officer’s name hasn’t been released yet. It was recently decided that the officer will not be charged in the case.

Babbitt’s husband is currently engaged in a lawsuit trying to get the officer’s name released.

“Who shot Ashli Babbitt,” Trump urged at the rally in Florida.

During the rally, Trump also criticized the media, which he often refers to as “fake news,” as he talked about the possibility of national monuments like the Jefferson Memorial being renamed by Democrats.

“The media in this country is corrupt,” Trump said.

Trump slammed New York prosecutors during his remarks after his company, the Trump Organization, was indicted last week, claiming that the charges are politically motivated by partisan Democrats.
