Trump Defends Diamond & Silk, Who Spread COVID-19 Conspiracy Theories, After Fox News Fires Them

President Donald Trump showed support for conservative talk show hosts Diamond and Silk, who have spread a variety of misinformation about the coronavirus. 

“Haters keep saying they hate Diamond and Silk, but you can’t hate what you ain’t never loved!” the duo, whose real names are Lynnette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson, shared on Twitter. 

Trump shared the tweet with a message of support: “But I love Diamond & Silk, and so do millions of people!”

This comes after CNN reported that Fox hadn’t uploaded a new episode of their show since April 7 and had not appeared on the network since March. According to CNN, they have been fired from Fox.

The duo have spread countless claims about the coronavirus without evidence, including questioning the number of people who’ve died from the virus and suggesting the virus was “deliberately spread.”
