During a taped town hall of all-women voters in Cumming, Georgia, hosted by Harris Faulkner of Fox News, former President Donald Trump was asked about his comments calling Democrats “enemies from within” that he recently made.

The comment was made on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures with host Maria Bartirmo, where Trump called Rep. Adam Schiff (D-California) and other Democrats “lunatics” and bigger threats to America than foreign adversaries.

“We have the outside enemy, and then we have the enemy from within, and the enemy from within, in my opinion, is more dangerous than China, Russia, and all these countries,” the former president said. He then suggested that the military may need to be called in for Election Day unrest from “radical left lunatics.”

In Trump’s town hall with Faulkner, he doubled down on his comments, calling Democrats Marxists, communists and fascists. He also claimed Schiff was a part of the “Russia hoax.”

A spokesman for Schiff posted on X, “Donald Trump is openly threatening to call in the military to suppress his political opponents. We must defeat him this November and never let him fulfill his dictatorial ambitions.”

Vice President Kamala Harris used Trump’s comments to call him “dangerous” and released an ad called “Enemy Within.” Harris says the former president is becoming “increasingly unstable,” and at a rally, she told her supporters, “A second Trump term is a huge risk for America.”
