Trump Claims California Recall Vote Will Be ‘Rigged’ Without Evidence

Donald Trump is claiming voter fraud again – this time in an election that hasn’t taken place yet. In an interview on September 7, with Newsmax host Mike Schmitt, Trump declared without evidence that the upcoming California gubernatorial recall election will likely have been “rigged” if Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) prevails. Trump made this prediction a full week before the election date, claiming mail-in ballot manipulation. “Democrats are very good at winning elections with mail-in ballots versus in-person voting,” Trump said. “The one thing they are good at is rigging elections.”

After Trump’s comments, QAnon influencer, John Sabal, claimed without evidence that  Democrats are releasing an army of bots to prevent Republican voters from casting their votes, according to Vice.

QAnon followers believe that Trump was elected in 2016 to stop a cabal that hijacked the U.S. government to support pedophilia, child sex trafficking, cannibalism and Satanists. They believe only Trump can save the country.

A recent Suffolk poll shows Newsom with a comfortable 58% lead. These numbers are backed up by a different poll from the Public Policy Institute of California. Further analysis shows that both Santa Barbra and Lake Counties register over 50% against the Newsom recall at this time.

Even though the evidence points to a likely Newsom victory on September 14, California conservatives are hopeful for a different outcome. In an interview with the L.A. Times, hardcore conservative Ed Brown voiced the view of many California conservatives.

“As far as I’m concerned, Trump is still president,” said Brown, declaring his support for recall candidate Larry Elder. “He’s more like Trump, he’s for the people.”

Polls show that in Amador County, where Brown is from, that 1 in 5 registered voters are against Newsom, the highest concentration of this demographic in California.
