Trump Calls For ‘Biggest’ Protest ‘Ever’ If ‘Racist’ Prosecutors Charge Him With Crimes

Former President Donald Trump called for “the biggest protest we have ever had” if prosecutors investigating him do anything “illegal.”

“If these radical, vicious, racist prosecutors do anything wrong or illegal, I hope we are going to have in this country the biggest protest we have ever had in Washington, D.C., in New York, in Atlanta and elsewhere because our country and our elections are corrupt,” Trump said during a rally in Conroe, Texas on Saturday.

The House Jan. 6 select committee is probing Trump for his actions leading up to, during and after the Capitol riots to understand his role in the attack that was meant to stop Joe Biden‘s win from being certified. The committee recently released a slew of subpoenas for people close to Trump, such as Ivanka Trump and Rudy Giuliani.

Trump’s business dealings are also under investigation by several New York prosecutors, including New York attorney general Letitia James, who said her office has found “significant evidence” that Trump Organization statements used by outsiders to evaluate the financial condition of the organization did not match the documents that were given to Trump accountants. Examples include misvalued real estate recorded in statements to receive loans.

“For years, they’ve been going after my company, many years, using every trick in the book in an attempt to literally, if they can, put me in jail. They want to put me in jail,” Trump said at the rally.

Trump went so far as to call the New York attorneys, who are both black, “racist” and accused them of “prosecutorial misconduct at the highest level. They’re going after me without any protection of my rights by the Supreme Court or most other courts.”
