Trump Calls Biden ‘A Stupid Person,’ Attacks Son Hunter Biden On Labor Day

President Donald Trump laid into Democratic nominee Joe Biden on Monday, calling the former Vice President “stupid” and attacking his son, Hunter Biden.

“Biden is a stupid person, you know that,” Trump told reporters. “You’re not going to write it, but you know that.”

Trump also repeated allegations that Hunter Biden was corrupt, seizing on unproven accusations that he used his father’s political position to secure a position on the board of Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings, an accusation that Trump’s impeachment inquiry largely centered around.

“His son, where is Hunter? I call him ‘Where is Hunter?’” Trump said. “You talk about quid pro quo, with me there was none. With him, he’s right there on tape, and you don’t want to cover it. You should be ashamed of yourselves. The press should be ashamed of themselves.”

Trump briefly acknowledged it was Labor Day, and later touted the economic gains the stock market has made since its initial crash in March.

“No other president has done what I’ve done,” Trump said. “Biden wants to surrender our country to the virus. He wants to surrender our families to the violent left-wing mob, and he wants to surrender our jobs to China.”

However, unemployment rates remain higher than before the coronavirus pandemic. In January, the unemployment rate was 3.6%. In August, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported it to be 8.4%, down from its peak in April at 14.7%.
