President Donald Trump wrapped up the first cabinet meeting of his new administration last week by fat-shaming America and adding to the long list of insults he had made to the nation.

“This country has gotten bloated and fat and disgusting,” Trump said. “I think we had the worst president in the history of our country,” he added.

Responding to a reporter’s question about the Department of Government Efficiency and Elon Musk‘s controversial attempts to slash the size of the federal government, Trump called former President Joe Biden a “disgrace.” Trump said that Biden was “the worst president in the history of our country” and blamed him for ongoing inflation.

When asked by an unnamed reporter about an email from the Office of Personnel Management to federal workers asking them to list five accomplishments from their previous work week, Trump said that he believed it would be a good idea to send another round of emails because “they’re on the bubble. You got a lot of people that have not responded. So we’re trying to figure out—do they exist? Who are they?”

Last week, the White House sent out a memo to federal agencies asking them to develop plans to eliminate more positions and provide the names of all probationary employees. Thousands of probationary employees have already been fired, and now his administration is turning its attention to career officials with civil service protection.

“We’re cutting down the size of government. We have to,” Trump said during the Cabinet meeting. “We’re bloated. We’re sloppy. We have a lot of people that aren’t doing their job.”
