Trump Booed At UFC McGregor-Poirier Match, Crowd Responds With ‘U-S-A’ Chants
On Saturday night, as former President Donald Trump entered the arena to watch the UFC match between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier, many in the crowd booed him.
As Trump entered, he waved at the crowd with a big smile. In response to the boos, cheers and “U-S-A” chants also were heard.
The former president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., shared a video of the crowd’s reaction at the venue on Twitter.
Dana White, the UFC’s president, who has long been friends with Trump, said after the match that inviting Trump to the match was just “two friends, who are fight fans, watching a fight.”
White spoke at the RNC in 2020 to support the former president’s unsuccessful reelection effort.
